Inhalt

This course practices (text)analytical reading skills and the critical terms introduced over the first two semesters. We will study various (mainly canonical) examples of English literature from different centuries covering the three major genres. In this context, we will also consider questions concerning the development of these genres as well as examples of subgenres. Studying texts intensively in preparation for class is a basic prerequisite for this course and expected of all participants.
