FAU Profile Center Light.Matter.QuantumTechnologies
The scientific and technological development of our society is inconceivable without electronics and photonics, which form the backbone of our current information technology. In recent years, the focus at the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) has increasingly focused on the joint consideration of light and matter, which will be the key to many new phenomena and technologies. This forms the basis for key technologies of the 21st century, including quantum technologies. These goals require substantial efforts in basic as well as in applied research, which are bundled in the new FAU Profile Center Light.Matter.QuantumTechnologies.
The profile centers shape the research profile of FAU with a wide range of cutting-edge research projects. An overview of all FAU profile, research and competence centers can be found on the FAU research profile website.
